So I’ve been saving for what seems like a life time, and with the news that a new NVIDIA GPU isn’t coming any time soon (and to me that makes perfect sense, no competition and currant GPU’s are still selling, and at launch RRP prices..) there’s some money burning a hole in my wallet, I’m looking at a 1080, every now and then I see one drop to around £430, does anyone think we will see one drop below £400? I could pay more but I stubbornly refuse to pay anymore than £400 on a graphics card.

Currently running a r9-290 and I game on my 1080p 60hz TV, though I mostly play VR on Oculus Rift now

that is cheap. i paid £400 for a second hand one around 6-8 months ago

Thought the same and so bought it.

I was not even looking for a GPU as I was happy with my 1070, which I had since day of release. But I game at a 1440 on a 144hz panel, so the extra power of the 1080 Will be helpful.

Ill get you a box of buns to go with those currant GPUs

Sorry.

NVIDIA themselves believed ( a few months back ) that prices would not normalise until the end of this year. My guess is that as soon as they get close to normal then they will release the new 11 series. So around Oct, Nov. Course, everyone has a different opionion about that, some are saying July, which I think is stopping a lot of folk from buying right now.
