Black/Red, Intel, Nvidia, Micro-ATX, bit over budget.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £833.89 (includes shipping: £0.00)

+ Corsair Vengeance RED Led 3000 2x8GB DDR4 - £174
+ Samsung 860 EVO 250GB SSD - £64

Total - £1072

The video card comes with led options including red, on the side, and red led fans.

Case comes with one 120mm white led fan at the rear. I'd suggest adding a couple more white led fans for the front at some point. The system already has enough red highlights and red led memory, just needs some white illumination.

Alternative cases (ATX) and ATX motherboard (rest of the build wouldn't need changing):

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £244.03 (includes shipping: £14.10)

RX 580 8GB or GTX 1060 6GB would be absolutely fine for 1080p 60Hz on TV, and would come in below £1000. GTX 1070 will cope with newer games for a bit longer into the future.

This is for a friend and will be using a 1080p tv screen and wants to build it himself.

Best bang for buck (gtx 1070 overkill for 1080p but hey)

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £901.82 (includes shipping: £0.00)

And following on from danny75 with Intel giving best gaming performance specially at 1080p... Then paying extra to have it small in a case smaller then a shoe box

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,002.92 (includes shipping: £0.00)

Nice build orbitalwlash, that covers both bases nicely. ;)

find console users going to PC either want a TOWER to show they have a PC! or miss consoles being small and under the TV so did both with Dan's being the middle ground for sizing

personally thing no need for ATX and mATX should replace it - but might change now with the rise of NVMe

Definitely agree about the NVMe's. I'm grateful that my motherboard has 2 NVMe slots; frees up a SATA slot as well.

would have quoted the Aorus 3, better board and features but out of stock here and £110+ else where :/
And WiFi makes it nice for less cables

Should be able to upscale in games to 1440p to make visuals a bit nicer of a large 1080p screen
Well hopefully that will be in stock for when he orders. Currently saving atm. Would you go amd or Intel? Much in it?

Of I was chasing frames, intel .. and b360 board as if I went for z370 and then saw z390 board with potential named 9900k rock up I'd be fuming .
And plus more funds to amd the better CPU arms race will get !
