I keep imagining Putin walking out with a clapping bear at the ceremomy. Does anyone else think this or something similad/bizarre will happen?

Russia is a strange country after all.

Russian are hard, us English are ****** up and think we're hard. One hell of a reality check coming. Unless there's a secret hooligan camp here I don't know about.

Main problem is the drunk English fans never back down and walk away.

The Russian hooligans aren't any worse than other hooligans. But the kind of hooligans England used to have are long gone now. The Russian thugs mostly picked on small groups of drunk people (including random French locals who were not even there for football). When faced with equal sized mobs they ran away.

I'm actually optimistic that the tournament will go off without significant violence, it's been reported that the line from the Russian government has been pretty firm, and I don't care how hard your ultras are, the Kremlin is harder.
 
Maybe Vlad comes into the ptich topless on a Harley then individually wrestles every player to the ground one by one to show his manliness!

Perhaps crushing the throat of those he deems the most threat to Russian on pitch dominance?

I watched a documentary on Russian hooligans. They will 100% win because they all properly train at MMA gyms etc.... with the intention of street fighting. It's incredibly stupid.....most UK hooligans just morons pumped up on beer.
