Looking for a new £500'ish laptop

I'm looking at getting a new laptop, I'd prefer 8th gen i5 8250U/i7 8550U, at least 250gb SSD (NVME if possible), decent 1080P screen, and half decent battery life, any recommendations please?

Might struggle at that price/spec

Currys have an Acer one which fits your specs for £600, alternatively Amazon do the Dell Inspiron for arond the same price

Thanks for the reply, I'm in no hurry for a new one, hopefully somewhere has a sale on soon and I can get one for a decent price, I'll check out the ones you mentioned in the meantime.

That spec new is not happening, will have to be used.

We have this which is £550 and for the money a great spec, very hard to beat for £550:

If I was gaming at all, I'd probably be ordering one now, but for basic browsing, I'd rather have the much more efficient 8th gen, the 8250u benches very similarly to the 6300hq but with a much lower TDP, thanks for the link.
