Hello all,

Someone drove into the back of my mrs today whilst she was stationary. The other driver has already accepted liability and his insurer has rang us to basically say to let them deal with everything, problem is, our insurer (admiral) wants to deal with it through the other guys insurer.

My question is, should we just let admiral deal with it all or should we let the other guys insurance deal with it? All a bit of a headache really, had 4 different companies ringing (2 from each side asking questions)

Thanks

Enjoy the higher premiums after you say you were involved in an accident (fault or not) :(
That’s true I was rear ended sat stationary at a red light and only “notified” my insurance while opting to go with an accident management company who where fantastic. They got my car fixed within 2 weeks and threatened court action when the other party started lying and denying any involvement. It could have turned really ugly and dragged out but the AMC got it all sorted and got me my payout within 9 months.
Anyway despite the fact I didn’t go through my insurance and it was a non fault accident for the 3-5 years i had to declare it my quotes were always a few hundred more than what they are now.

Why did you get a payout if the car was repaired?

Because my neck was injured. And before anyone accuses me of making a standard issue whiplash claim that was not the case i was off work for weeks and couldn’t go the gym or lift weights for months. I also had to have 10 sessions of physio therapy
