Summer Solstice: It’s the Longest Day!

Albeit almost on the south coast I was walking back from a work meeting around 10:30 last night and it was still broad daylight.

EDIT: Actually was a bit before 10:30 but not hugely.

Where I used to live in the north of Scotland, the sun isn't setting until 22:23 tonight, compared to 21:23 in Southampton.

It wouldn't even get properly dark at all during this time, was really weird.

Sunset time is 21:29 here but last few days it has still been well lit gone 10pm.

Depressing. Downhill from here and barely had any summer.

Supposedly the next couple of weeks should be nice - the GEFS shows an uptick from now until 29th with temperatures possibly hitting 30 by around middle of next week and generally clear though gets a bit more varied after that with some possible rain though temperatures might stay high.

I'm surprised a bit at the weather we've had so far - usually these "8" years have a nice June even if the rest of the summer is meh.

Bad thread, would complain about again D-.

This does depress he hell out of me, I hate the short evenings. Best savour the long ones while we have them.

Being addicted to gaming, the darker ambient light makes it easier to see what's on screen. :p

And my fuzzy brain feels like a typical late April... The extended winter, thanks to two lots of Beast Of The East, has completely screwed the 2018 decline of Seasonal Affective Disorder symptoms for me. :/

Were you diagnosed by a Clinical Psychiatrist?

Thank the maker! Even though the time has gone very quickly since the last solstice, I'm glad that the days are getting shorter for the next six months.
