It's too hot :(

I'm on holiday currently! Given my last holiday we got snowed in.. this is great :D up early to walk the dogs and again late in the evening then during the day we chill or go out somewhere without them

Well, what I really meant is, without the poor attempt at humour :p , what are we looking at? You said you have some blackout blind slats, but we're looking at an open door? I was just a little confused...

It did raise a smile from me too, as I was thinking the same.

I've got my air-con on in the office, black-out curtains too, positively marvellous!

too hot for my dog yesterday so took him down the river then went for a walk around polzeath ,enjoying it while it lasts

Lovely beach Polzeath, unfortunately my Grandparents are moving into Wadebridge (from St Minver) so it's a little further away when I visit.

Got some spare money to buy their Bungalow so I can still visit? :D

baking hot here i just discovered the air con is poor or broken in my focus :( cant say it's worth fixing though for the odd day here and there.

You can use car air-con to de-mist the windows quickly in the winter, too.

yeah just been pricing it up 60 quid for a recharge assuming that's all it needs, the light comes on but didn't get cold really not like in my last car that was like a fridge when cranked up high.

Had a meeting at work in one of our older buildings, the wall mounted aircon was knackered. The room sits 15 people at most, there was 15 people sitting and another 8 standing, was like a bloody sauna. Room was lined with windows and none opened.

Awful, what a stupid location for a meeting!

I got mine recharged a couple of years ago, £50 from Kwik fit (iirc).

Air-con is worth every penny, imo. :)

29C in Wiltshire this afternoon. Rather foolishly headed for Alton Barnes White Horse and Tan Hill (highest point in the county), two hour round trip walking from the nearby car park.

On reflection not the sharpest idea in the box, especially following on from having 300ml of Privigen* infused earlier in the day... Note to self, a stroll around the local park probably enough in the circumstances but I wanted to get the circulation going and get the (very expensive) gloop working.

* Mentioned anecdotally, not to start a medical thread!

Still nearer than I am and a nice cycle to Padstow on camel trail ( I'm afew hundred yards from start at wenford bridge) and no I'm just above minimum wage ! But nice 4 day weekends !

Curry for tea tonight. It's hot but it's not really bothering me, the worst bit is needing to have our windows shut due to the smoke. So it's very warm still air.

Working on an RAF base tomorrow and they're usually pan flat and red hot, then just the near 3 hour drive home in a colleague's van who didn't spec air con in it because he "prefers the window down"
