PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

Going a different direction... what DPI settings are people using out of interest as well as their mouse in game sensitivity settings? I'm using a Roccat Kova Pure (ambi mouse) on 350dpi and movement in game is 68 and all of my ADS (including scopes) start at 52 and filter down to the 8x and 15x at 42. I could really do with a bigger desk (currently using a bureau desk!), but that will have to wait until we can extend the house as currently my toddlers toys are everywhere!

you want natural movement control with no under/over shoot. many people use 400dpi. you dont want mega high sensitivity unless you can full utelize it. most think they can but cant. also low sense makes distance shots easier but having low sensivity does have some drawbacks. like if someone maybe behind you and you have to spin quick.

i use 400 and 51 ingame general sensivity.thats it.too many people over tweak everything.you want as close to base as possible.to make less varibles.

is the big PGI qualifications done on finish position or kills ? this will effect how they play. might watch a bit later.

just looking first place gets you 500 points for a win. each kill gets you 15 points. this is where strats come into play.also why some may go for wins over kills.

think about a team and how much they avg.remember pros vs pros so a team maybe gets 20 kills but comes 5th vs a team who gets 5 kills and a win. the win would go to the first place guys with less kills. this is what some need to understand.

team with 20 kills and 5th get 550 points.
team with 5 kills and win get 575 points.

you play for whatever gets you the win.

@~>Dg<~ Competitive PUBG is always about getting placement first, the kills are bonus. So you'll see a lot of teams rotating early to get compounds/natural cover to protect their vehicles. They don't tend to camp the buildings though, it's more about 'commanding' your area and getting information for the next rotation.

Points are as below:
Placement Placement Points
1 500
2 410
3 345
4 295
5 250
6 210
7 175
8 145
9 120
10 100
11 80
12 65
13 50
14 40
15 30
16 20
17 15
18 10
19 5
20 0

Every kill is worth 15 points.

One of the previous LANs was decided by a single kill.

so position is key. kills are a bonus.as for building camping if its a building with good view cover its fine . if you can get back out ! thats the problem. its great smashing people in a building but if you cant get away from it pointless. always have two plans. also depends on how you doing in the game. if you in top 5 and can get good kills would you stay in cover/building ? get more kills or...do you risk being in worse position and go for the win.

whos up for some games later ? P1 yes great games yesterday 3 games 2 wins and a unlucky 2nd.shame on that 2nd i did say someone come with me as i knew someone was pushing other side.he was on his own aswell and rinsed us all.

I'm up for some games with you but i'm probably not pro enough ;)

Joking aside, i'll team up with anyone, I play for fun/kills and if a win comes of it, all the better.

There were at least 2 that side. I downed the guy who got you. Unfortunately the other guy got a nice gren on randall as he was reviving you under smoke killing you both and got me on the reload.

I'm battling through the XP and missions.
The missions are pretty fun to do! I always find myself going off-mission within the first few mins though. Still, loving solo play on Sanhok. Definitely brought a new feeling to the game.

You tart - just trying to expand your wardrobe!

game sense. knowledge of the map. sound. all helps point to where people will come from . be.

then reactions, muscle memory, skill.

How do people manage to lean out and shoot you in the head within milliseconds.....how do you line that up, just practice?

I don't do it half as much as I should. But watching pros, they always say just keep peeking every corner, it'll become second nature.

I've always struggled to use Q & E while using A & D to dodge left and right in faster paced games like this. Recently I changed two of my mouse side buttons to lean left and right, made a world of difference.

come join in. its all fun.lots of banter and hopefully plenty of wins.:D

Oh I will, I get a bit carried away with banter sometimes and can be a little abrasive. :D

Me too. I find it hard to peek using hold so use toggle but then end up peeking the other way to cancel which of course it doesnt and is generally a lot slower. Probably need to stick with it and use different keys.

I need to try this but have a feeling my mouse (zowie fk1+) has same button mapping each side. I also use mouse5 for reload currently.

I generally end up peeking, gun isn't far enough out, move a bit, peek, still cant see them, move a bit, peak.....oh they shot me.

Earlier on I was sniping out a window at someone, they ran around a rock to the other end, peaked and shot me in the head within a heartbeat.....

I use both buttons on the left side, closest to me is left peek, furthest away is right peek.

My G903 has the option to install buttons on the other side but have got used to this way of doing it.

Can you even map the buttons on the right of the fk1? I tried briefly and couldn't get it, I think it's only one side at a time from what I've read.

I switched peek to the side buttons, still getting used to peeking at all though, used to have them mapped to map + firemode.
