I know nothing about this vehicle, does it pwn the current F1 cars? Appreciate F1 cars are limited by rulemakers.

No it doesn't, it would be very close but I expect this season's F1 cars to be slightly faster. It did a lap round SPA so you can compare that to when F1 goes there later on this year.

I don't think it would get close to the 919 but it would definitely be interesting to see.

That on-board video of the lap is just insane. Talk about a driving hero. One mistake at those speeds and they would be picking up the pieces in the next state.

I dunno so much, that car was so finely tuned that when it got to the top the driver had to catch a lift back down because the batteries were dead. How much more battery weight would be required for a full lap of the 'ring?

It would also require some significant aero modification as the aero on it is designed specifically for the thin air at such high altitude, hence the ridiculous sized wing on the back.

(Might well be possible tbh, rather curious now)

Shouldn't be too different - Pikes is like 12 miles with half of it seriously up hill. (Though not sure what distance the VW one was).
