Samsung 4 Series (TV) - Not connecting to Wifi...

Hello!

Random one...just popped back to see Mum and the TV is not connecting to the Wifi anymore (so all the Smarthub functions etc).

It can see the network and our laptops connect to it fine.

Googled and reset the Smarthub side and tried again, failed.

Any ideas? Thankyou!
 
From my experience with Samsung TVs, I've always had problems with a WiFi connection.
The connection keeps dropping for no reason.
If it's possible I'd recommend a LAN connection to the TV.

If that's not possible, delete the current WiFi config on the TV and redo it again.
Then keep repeating the delete and redo every time you have a problem.
 
Homeplugs?

^ Yup. Homeplugs may well be the solution.

Firmware updates are a constant bugbear. Say the router gets an update, and now suddenly the TV won't connect until it has its own update.... which you can't do because the TV won't connect to the internet.... Arghhhh!!!! :D
 
I have a Panasonic and I needed a new WiFi module in the bottom of the TV to be able to get it to connect. I ended up running a cable through centre of my house up the walls to a switch. Wasn't an easy task but at least it works properly now.
