Idiots smash ambulance after England match

Smashed cars are the least of it, apparently.

'Police prepare for domestic abuse surge as England start World Cup campaign.'

Several forces have joined the Give Domestic Abuse the Red Card campaign after research found domestic violence increased when England both lost and won matches during previous tournaments. Analysis by Lancaster University found during the last World Cup in 2014 incidents of domestic abuse in Lancashire rose by 38% when England lost.

When they won or drew abuse increased by 26% compared to days when there was no England match.

When we win, the nation will rise beyond the clouds to the very heavens. Our success will reverberate around the world and propagate to all future world cup tournaments, and the denizens will finally come to realise that we are superior to all.

That or chav scum.

It’s true though isn’t it? Doesn’t happen after any other major sporting event. Football just brings out the plebs in the UK.

The Japanese clean the stadium after their game, the Brits smash stuff up, it’s embarrasing.
Get over yourself.

People saying this doesn't happen in other sports, it really does.

The millennium stadium has banned drinking inside due to a couple of Welsh "fans" abusing a guy in a wheelchair.

Millennium stadium hasn't banned drinking it now has designated non drink zones which was going to happen before the abuse.

These things do happen in Cardiff every now and again on rugby days. Some people who can't handle their drink spend all day drinking.

Yet we don't see these scenes in other countries with huge football followings. Germany? Nope. Spain? Nope.
We don't see it with other sports in this country.
When I was at uni I was friends with a Norwegian guy and he just didn't get it. He pointed out that people are smashing their things. Where's the logic? Utter morons.

U wot m8.

Russian ultras, italian ultras, eastern european ultras, south american ultras. All of the above do the same plus a bit of stabbing for good measure. Turkish ultras like to stab people in the buttocks as a mark of dominance. Sporting CPs fans physically attacked they're own players as they felt they didn't perform adequately this season. Half of the first team quit citing constructive dismissal due to lack of protection. Real and barce rivalry, not to mention the basque issue in spain. You either know nothing about footballing fandom or you're trolling.

If anythinf we're tame compared to many parts of the world these days due to a no tolerance approach to hooliganism.

Now whether or not we have an issur with drunken youngsters is another question but this isn't a footballing issue as such.

I was just thinking of more civilised countries. And it's worth pointing out the issues you've raised are when things go badly. Not well!
The Basque issue as you've put it is geopolitical.

Whilst I am in no way defending the behavior. This is not really a case of "Lets smash up an Ambulance" as a specific act of vandalism as such.

It is simply general, probably drunken, Mob stupidity.

I would not go for criminal charges as such, but I would expect them to have to pay for the damage they caused...

That isn't an excuse or a defence. If anything an example needs to be made of those involved to make it very clear that attacks on emergency services are intolerable.

The Russians have the right idea, this chap will think twice before being a knob again

Yep unlike the UK police, they can dish out a few bruises without threat of being fired or sent to prison. It was a bit over the top but it stopped them in their tracks.

I don't think our regular police are even allowed to carry batons any more.

This is why we need chain gangs in the prison system.

Work is nothing to be scared of my liberal friends.

To be fair the majority of the hooliganism issues i raised are nothing to do with winning or losing. It arguably has nothing to do with football, sport is just a convenient rallying cry

It's just idiots who have spent all day drinking. Probably wouldn't have got as drunk if the football was on but I don't think you can blame the game. I was not around during the 80s but it seems football culture has definitely improved on the whole.

I am absolutely over the moon that England are in the Semi-Finals and I would be absolutely over the moon if every person involved in acts of vandalism after Saturdays game were locked up for a year.

See we dont have this problem in Scotland, when we fail to win the supporters just go for a pint and get on with things... usually more pints.
Thats prob why we are always so drunk, if scotland ever ended up in the latter stages of the WC the nation would be so stunned the whole place would stop for weeks.

But England... and its chavvy scum.. i dont know, no idea why football brings out the caveman in many of them.. maybe because lots aint evolved far from cavemen i suppose :p;)
Hahabaha....one of the few times quoting the sun is acceptable.

Woman who jumped on ambulance in England World Cup celebrations is SCOTTISH

lol imminent criminal damage charge heading for that lass in Glasgow, hope they find all of them responsible including the idiot who crashed through the bus shelter roof.

I guess none of the others have been dobbed in by their mates. The fact that she's Scottish and celebrating an England win might explain why some people who knew her decided to pass her name on.
