Has anyone else got one of these? I bought one to provide shade for my outdoor corner casual dinning set and used it for the first time this weekend. It's a 3x3m canopy so it's fairly large, however in the slightest wind the actual shade/sail section wobbles and tilts to the point it makes it quite unnerving to sit below it.

The actual base and pole are solid and weighed down, it's just the sail itself that moves a lot. Is this how they typically are or have I got a dud?

Ours is 3x3m and can move around a little but generally not too much, make sure you have raised the parasol using the crank handle so the cup underneath fits neatly into the fixed section above, this limit movement a little.

We got one reduced from B&Q a few years ago.. Thought at £70 (reduced price) if it gets us 1 season were good.. Its now on its third after being left out all last year.. Its showing signs of wear now though the bolt hole that bolts the main pole to the base is now elongated so there is more play. But even at the std price of £120 'ish I think its a cracking buy.

We have one of these from Ikea (https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products...es/karlsö-parasol-hanging-beige-art-10260295/), only been setup this summer however so far its been good. But yes they aren't very wind friendly.

My folks have one of these (they look to have come down in price considerably). They tie a few corners to the nearby fence posts to stop it moving around much.

For this design of parasol, it's more about not having the large centre post, and compromising with a bit of movement in the wind.

IKEA have been out of stock on their cheaper cantilever parasols since the start of the summer - but we popped into a smaller, family-run garden centre on our way home from lunch and found a 3×3m version in graphite for £79.

Left wife & nanna with the sprogs in the coffee shop and took two of them home (friends have been after one, too).

I'll grab a few paving slabs from Wickes tomorrow - and inevitably the heavens shall open and Autumn shall arrive early...

I really want one of these but our garden does get the wind and I worry that it will un-usable 90% of the time.
