Couple of questions from a long time lurker.

Hi guys

I have been lurking on this forum for a while now, mainly asking for help when i do decide to post. At the start of the year i finished building my new computer which i absolutely loved. Having a young son and a new job as meant i have hardly played it at all.

I am now looking to sell as i have a lot of money just sitting there not being used so my question is what is the best way to sell it. I do not have any original boxes so i really do not want to be splitting any of it.

Sorry if this is against forum rules or in wrong section.

You don't qualify for the members market here so something like eBay will be an option instead. But I think you will get a better price by splitting it and buying boxes and bubble wrap to send it. Just be honest in the advert saying you do t have original boxes.

you could also try gumtree - cash on collection only. ebay i'd be wary of for expensive pc parts.

Don't use eBay, full of scammers and the seller is at a massive disadvantage

I am not going to use ebay. Il try gumtree instead. I really want to sell as a whole because i cant be bothered with sorting out boxes. Obviously i will wipe hard drives, is there anything else i should do to get it ready for selling.

I can't remember if AVForums classified ads have restrictions like OCUK MM, have a look there too

Will also sell keyboard monitor and mouse.

How much would you guys think is a reasonable price?

I've observed that people who sell their PC end up buying another one a few months later. So my 2 cents would be don't sell.

My man cave is being turned into a baby room as we are planning on another child and i cant put the computer anywhere else. Im 100% sure i will build another one when the time is right. I have accepted that i will have to become a console scrub for the time being.
