Best performing Small media player for playing USB films?

Hi Guys

Looking for a Media player that will accept pretty much any file format for a movie i download.

* Priority is playback performance and compatability of any file format usb films.
*Want to be able to playback high quality files and rips (15GB+ in size with no issues)
* Must have optical connection as use a projector and just make sit easier for my sound set up.
* Do not need any streaming features.
*Budget is under £100

Projector is only 1080p but would like any 4K file type support for future proof.

I know some media players wont accept files over 4gb? Im getting a new pc and may convert my old one into a smaller case as last resort.

So long story short i want to play a movie i download, say onto a 64gb stick, plug into media player and away we go. 5.1 Audio via optical. No stuttering or buffering with maximum support for file formats and image quality.

KODI will do this no problem well any Android box but that depends if you want an Android box. Or even Vero 4k Box

Will image quality and playback performance be the same on each though? I don't mind the software just as long as its plug and play and covers the mentioned features above.

That Vero 4k looks good. Will read review on it now

Android boxes aren't plug and play you need to set them up. I have alfawise s912 box and it'll do what you're asking

I just picked up a Zidoo X9S to go with my new OLED and it plays back everything I have tried throwing at it so far either via SMB or local storage.

Has optical, wifi, and gigabit ethernet! Have yet to find any flaws

just stick it in the USB on the TV.
