Day trip to Wales

If you plan to go to Bala you would be mad not to cover off the Evo Triangle too as it's just up the road, off the A5 at Cerrigydrudion

Will give the chance to people to comment more and finalise the route on Thursday night and set meeting times for the two stops.

Will only stop for 15 min at each place to save time so we would ask people to be there before the meeting times so there are no delays.

Or, alternatively, we may only set Shrewsbury as the meeting place to save some time as it is a long drive (just over 5 hours).
Added a Shell stop approximately halfway to fill up for cars that consume quite a bit (most cars in this list...).

This is the Shrewsbury meeting place. Of course you can meet elsewhere earlier and come there together.

Shame you're doing it Saturday. If it was Sunday I'd have come along to eye up some nice metal and bring the standard down a bit :p More interested in the Skodas than anything else :D

Gonna need to keep many sets of eyes out for cameras/hidden police cars round the Evo Triangle area. Seen a few out every time I've been over that way recently. There seems to usually be a car tucked in a farmers driveway on the long straight A5 stretch between Cerrig and Pentrefoelas

Indeed! Looking forward to it. 7 cars will be leaving Warwick at 8am towards Percy Thrower, meeting some of you there and one more at the first Shell station towards our destination. If all goes as planned it should be 12 cars in total, many with a second passenger so possibly close to 20 participants.

I will post again this evening with more precise details for those who need them, including post codes of every stop for people not using Google maps, and will also try to print a few sheets with the route and distribute these at the meeting point tomorrow. I think we may have found 12 walkie talkies in total so we should have one for each car, in addition to some freebies a good friend kindly sourced.
