Windows 10 cheapest option?

Ok so how do I get W10 on a new machine as cheap as possible. Current machine had the free upgrade via an oem licence. I do have a W7 product code off an old machine that died years ago, could that be used?

You can use 10 without activating. You just don’t get the personalisation features (desktop wallpaper etc) and a watermark.

£4.50 for an OEM key off fleabay, doesnt get any cheaper than that.

Fresh installs will still activate using a Windows 7 key (don't know about upgrades, haven't tried one of those since the free upgrade period officially ended).

Basing this on two machines I've installed Windows 10 on in the last month that had only been running Windows 7 before friends/relatives asked me to look at them.

Try the old Windows 7 key you have to activate W10 straight out. Won't cost anything and it'll at least be more genuine than an eBay special.

This may be your best option. I bought a new PC from OCUK and installed Windows 10 myself using a USB stick and then bought a cheap Windows 10 Home licence key and everything was fine.

cheapy it is then if w7 key fails [got to find the ruddy coa first]
