PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

depends what you mean ? i play as you would for tournements . currently waiting for esl match for pubg as i type this :D

public messing about and proper play is totally different.anyone can get kills. depends what you playing for . the thing people miss judge is the compare or look at kd ratio for eg when a win is what you aim for.fun vs serious.ive won games with 29 kills.loads with 10+. if im playing for win though its for a team win not for kd ratio.
 
I totally understand there are different playstyles, it's a survival game, last man alive is all that matters. Personally I can't enjoy it like that and don't find it fun, i know it is the wrong mentality for a survival game. Everyone is different. That's why I don't like watching the tournaments because it's a campfest and people only engage when they need to.

I still find it hilarious that PUBG even exists in the eSports world when you have the likes of CS, DotA, LoL, Quake etc :rolleyes:

Could be worse I guess, could be H1Z1 :D

I think that's the thing, at the end of the day it's a game. Generally I think we all play games for fun, so just play it how you find fun. If you find it fun to play for kills but don't win much, that's fine. If you enjoy avoiding fights where possible and picking up the win, do that. If you enjoy something in between, do that. The Pros play the way they do at tournaments because it's basically their job, we don't know how they play when they play for fun.
I've actually been pretty surprised by the Pro competition, I expected more camping and less kills. OMG yesterday averaged almost 14 kills per game or something like that. Against Pros that seems good.

I think I know what you mean. Games like CS, Dota 2 and LoL (I don't know about Quake, maybe that too) are all skill based, the amount of RNG in them is very minimal. In Dota it might be the procing of skills with a % chance to do something or which runes spawn. But mostly everything is known. PUBG feels like it has more RNG, the circle, weapon placement, attachments, healing supplies, vehicle placement and the initial plane route. I think a lot of that can be mitigated to a degree though.
 
much of the loot circle can be made less chance the more you play understand it. people have strategies and good players will have routes and back up plans as you play. ideally you want maximum loot for least amount of risk. also best ways to move away from your location or goto other locations. there is lots of skill and thought put into this from better players.

currently doing esl with ocuk team silvers we have game 4 at 15:50 :D we not doing bad with a bunch of ocuk discord randoms . highest placed uk team at moment :p
