You need to get the right screws dude! None of that sounds like a good idea with a high power card.

you are just overthinking it mate :>The block comes with screws and manual. But from my experience, the best way to fit properly cooler on the Vega 64 Nitro + is to use the X retention bracket not the 4 short screws.
That means it requires the 4 long screws plus 4 springs from the short screws.
And already the block comes with 5 less long screws, which are adequate loss to fit the backplate, but been 9 less screws now, only allow for screws around the VRM and the top of the card.
