Driving pet hates...

People who think changing lane twice is better than changing lane zero times.
People who use their car as a weapon.
It's the rules... Your supposed to go back into the left lane, then pull into second to overtake, rinse and repeat.
The police pull people specifically for hogging the middle lane.

And me flashing at the morons doesn't mean I'm using my car as a weapon you complete weapon.

Going way under the limit on open 60mph roads is one of mine as well, so annoying :/

Middle lane hoggers don't bother me so much. I'll just blast down the left side of them if they don't move. Often other people will follow me and sometimes they get the message after that.

People who don't indicate on roundabouts
People who don't indicate on lane changes, see this way to often.
People who drive very slowly on NSL etc roads or when it gets wet in anyway, I don't mind people who drive carefully but there are those few that slow down for every little bend.
People who pull out on the roundabouts and don't bother putting their foot down so end up being in the way.
People drive with mainbeams on in dark country lanes blinding any oncoming traffic.

That bloke on a white BMW bike with a HiVis jacket and white lid.

Ditherers.

Pretty much anyone in charge of anything motorised or self propelled in London estates.

In my experience most people don't even noticed they are being flashed or being an idiot in the middle lane (or any overtaking lane to be honest) they are completely oblivious to driving and what they are doing. Whilst on the M4 on Sat, cruising at a steady 70ish there was someone sat in a mostly empty motorway in the middle lane, a van went up behind the car and flashed as I came up to them and passed in lane 3, I then moved over to the clear lane 1 in a single move, the middle lane person didn't understand. The van overtook them and also moved to lane 1, closely to the car, again they didn't understand and stayed in lane 2.
I've given up caring about those idiots now mostly and just let them get on with it, the police don't care either which makes the fine etc. pointless.

People in the left lane entering a two lane roundabout who just drive straight on into the right lane cutting you up.
It's called hitting the apex, it's racing. ;)

No you aren't supposed to change lanes all the time.

Highway Code:

Rule 264
You should always drive in the left-hand lane when the road ahead is clear. If you are overtaking a number of slower-moving vehicles, you should return to the left-hand lane as soon as you are safely past.

Rule 134
In congested road conditions do not change lanes unnecessarily.

You said you shoot up their backside too. They aren't morons, you are driving dangerously.

Drivers who do less than 90 in the BMW lane.
Inferior marques driving in the BMW lane.
Those flashing orange things inferior marques have.
Diesel drivers.
Drivers who dont get up to a decent speed on slip roads to join a motorway/dual carriageway.

People STILL don't think they are doing anything wrong when they sit in the middle lane. The amount of people I've passed and shook my head at, only for them to put their hands up and say "what" because they've no idea what a tool they are being frightens me.

Have you ever been on a motorway/multi lane road?

He is not talking about people overtaking a line of vehicles, he is talking about when there is ample time and space to be in the left most lane as per your C&P and yet they stay in the middle lane. This is extremely common and is why there was a new law introduced to combat it however due to lack of police presence it isn't enforced.

Exactly.
It's even interesting if I pass on the left at 70 because they are doing ~60 in the middle lane, sometimes people realise and move left but the vast majority don't and some people even get angry about safely and legally being passed on the left (not doing it to overtake and lane 1 is always empty for miles so I'm just avoiding moving 1 to 3 to 1 to get past and idiot).

He said "30 seconds". If you move into lane 1 knowing you have to move lanes again in 30 seconds then that's an unnecessary lane change. The highway code says don't do unnecessary lane changes.

The highway code says move left when the road ahead is CLEAR. 30 seconds is not clear.

People who pull out right in front of you causing you to have to brake heavily like they are in some huge rush and then dawdle along way under the limit. Even worse when there is no traffic behind you. Worse still when that person does 40 for the next 5 miles of NSL road then disappears off into the distance when you hit a 30 limit, still doing 40.

30 seconds is not an unnecessary lane change mate. You are a middle lane driver.

Well it is a speed limit, not a target :p

One that is more baffling than annoying, someone driving at 45ish in a 60, come into a 30 zone and they dont slow down at all.

Aggressive drivers is another one, usually in a ***** car tailgating in a 30 zone as well.

But you are also supposed to pull over to let traffic pass if your going slow and causing a queue to build up. You can be fined for it too, but like middle lane hogging the police rarely bother.

You said you shoot up their backside too. They aren't morons, you are driving dangerously.

The problem with your understanding of that is the same as the morons on the road.
"Oh that lorry is going slower than me, it's about 30cars away but I can see it... Thus I MUST stay in this lane until I've overtaken it. Oh damn, a car is about 25 cars away now... I best stay in here..."

That mentality is what's wrong. If you can move over into the left lane for at least 30 seconds before having to overtake then do so. Otherwise it's classes as lane hogging.

30 seconds is an eternity.
police officer told me if it takes longer than 15 seconds to reach the next car (while sitting in the middle lane) you should change into the left hand lane.

worst offenders i find are on the M25.
it was completely dead, i was in lane 1 and the other in lane 3. i moved over while in lane 3 flashed him, he moved into lane 2 for me to overtake and then he moved back into 3. while i ended up in lane 1 once i had overtaken him.

Indicators in general, lack of use and roundabouts.

People who on dual carriageways get into lane 2 as they want to turn right in two miles time.

Lane discipline as well especially when the road is clearly marked.

"Constants" as I call them, the ones that drive at 40mph in a NSL and then continue at 40mph in a 30mph zone.

Oh and people that sit behind tractors when it is safe to overtake.

and many, many more.

At 60mph, 30 seconds is just over 800 metres. That's half a mile. More than enough time to move left to ensure you aren't impeding traffic flow.
Ironically, you're also causing more lane changes, because everyone behind you wishing to pass will have to move out to overtake you (assuming there's a third lane).
