1080 ti at 4k full settings what fps you getting pls

For me I get:

Squad 50-70fps ultra settings no AA.
Post Scriptum 45-60fps (as above).

Imo, neither of them very playable/enjoyable (g-sync monitor).

Thanks for the info not bad fps, I suppose it's down to the games being in Alpha / Beta why it's still not fully optimised.

That is intresting I have had that issue the last year , I have not tried BF1 since the OC the processor will have a go later see if I still get the stutter ;)
Have you tried pushing the 6700 further than 4.0ghz buddy, I did go from a 6c12t to a 10c20t and it did make a big difference on BF1 and AC origins too, thats the best examples I have seen.

I have pushed it to 4.5ghz it does seem slightly better i could see slight stutter now and again on bf1, not as much but it was there, maybe it was the server will try again later but been a bit busy with this and that.

What do you mean here i am new to overclocking lol >>>>>>>>>>>>I did go from a 6c12t to a 10c20t

My old chip was a 6 core 12 thread and the 6950X is a 10 core 20 thread one.
Where your 6700K is a 4 core 8 thread chip.

I’m running an old i7 4790 (non K so no overclock) 16Gb RAM and a Zotac 1080ti Amp Extreme, I only have BF1 out of those games but get a consistent 60+ FPS @4k in single or multiplayer.

Same for heavily modified GTA V too which previously struggled on my 1070 SLI setup.

Can’t say I’ve noticed any stutter with the Zotac @4K either.

Cheers for the feedback are your settings all on ultra ?

Think my stuttering is down to having all settings on ultra and the 980ti is maxed out it's only now and again, seems to me the 1080ti will iron out the last bits of problems

Not a 1080ti but a clocked titan x 2016 which is probably either on par with a 1080ti or slightly faster, in bf1 at 4k i generally get around 70-90fps. Hovering more in the late 70's to mid 80's, depending on the map. That's all default ultra settings

Everything maxed except I’ve not touched resolution scale and have no AA enabled.

I had stutter with my old SLI 1070’s (which arguably on SLI supported games will outperform a 1080ti) on BF1 @4K but none if I dropped the resolution so I’m assuming the extra VRAM on the 1080ti is what makes the difference.

Okidoki thanks for the update :)

Just want to throw this in - just use the second highest quality settings. Will look the same and run many fps more. The goal of 'ULTRA' in every game is just not worth it and I'm sure its only there as a tease by the developers at this point!

I have actually noticed this on Squad, I had a play dropped a few settings turned the screen sharpness up and it looks the same as ultra,I wish I understood what all the settings do AA and all the other cap they add to confuse us old uns :)

Nice one. 4K is a bit of a game changer as you dont need AA at all imo. Theres anough pixels to make lines seem sharp and smooth at the same time. At anything less than 4k you would need some amount of processor intensive AA to get the 'best' look.

In 10 years time, no one will remember what AA is.

Depends on the screen size and how far you sit from it imo. Sat at a desk with a 28" 4K was still enough to see shimmering effects and aliasing in some games. Even cheap FXAA was pretty good in those situations though!

I have messed with AA and agree with you, could do with someone sitting Infront of my pc and explaining what each setting does, I really think some settings can make things worse and some actually hide and make things nice.

In all honesty I seem to mess about with the settings till it looks right, half the time I don't understand how I do it but I do get there in the end with my 980ti. Can't wait to crank things up it's nearly there just need to get to the final stage with 1080ti just waiting on for a magic price drop or news then I am going for it.
