Clutch and cutting out issue!

Is there no engine lights on? Could be the MAF sensor, could be the idle control valve, could be fuel pump issue.

No warning lights at all. In the past I have had a ‘Depollution System Faulty’ message. It’s appeared 2-3 times since April 2017. You can clear it by turning the car off and back on quickly! The car drove fine with the message showing. ‘Depollution system faulty’ seems to be a catch-all code that covers all systems that help control emissions (EGR, EVAP). I’m hoping the intermittent message, fuel smell and cutting out are all related!

maybe worth taking the sensor out the cat as I have had it before where the cat fell apart inside and was getting blocked thus cutting motor out, only found after I called a mobile guy to come out and that was the first thing he did

Just taken a call from Peugeot Chiswick, their diagnostics has shown bad spark plugs and a software update. I find it strange that the spark plugs have only lasted 16k miles over 15 months. They were changed at the last major service at 58k on the 23/5/17.

But we're they? Not unheard of for what they've said they've done to be different to what they've actually done.

This is my concern, my brake fluid was supposed to be changed during the same service. When the car went back for a minor service in March this year I was told the brake fluid was quite contaminated and needed changing again, which they had changed ‘again’ for me after noticing their records. I questioned whether this was forgotten and they insisted it wasn’t, yet at the same time they couldn’t answer how my brake fluid became so contaminated in such a short period.

Hmmm replacing 15month old spark plugs and doing a "software update"... I'm not convinced this is the fix.
