better case , better PSU unit - vega 64 which is either equal or slightly above gtx 1070ti and slightly below 1080

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,023.09 (includes shipping: £13.20)

also comes with 3 free games...

https://www.overclock3d.net/news/gp..._drops_to_449_and_includes_three_free_games/1

if you want to save cash or move to 2tb drive

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/cougar-mx330-g-midi-tower-case-black-tempered-glass-ca-02x-cu.html

has glass like the above unlike corsair

also allows your to pick up freesync monitor which is £200+ cheaper then g-sync verisons

Yeah, that is a good possibility and is definitely peaking my interest. Never rocked an AMD card in a build for a fair few years now but I must say I like the look of that card in comparison to the Nvidia.

UNDERVOLT! its key - worth checking out vega 64/56 owners thread here and sure there an undervolting thread as well. AMD provided to much volts and undervolting keeps heat down, bosot and performs longer/better

650w PSU, at least a good quality one like the above should handle system just fine

worth having a look at. B450 version of the B360 gaming 3, comes with larger 256gb ssd free like the above bundle - but paired to ryzen 1700 8 core 16 thread- wouldn't make to much difference is 80% of games, Titles like BF1/V would like it as well as new assassins creed game etc

Nvidia are expected to be announcing new video cards in 2 weeks.

PR images and details already churning behind the scene since one went ahead and showed off their card.. let the race begin !

though, if it is announced 2 weeks time, most likely 2 weeks launch after that and month before AIB - and soon as they come pre-order... order! should be a pretty penny but might knock down prices if they can supply enough stock- if another pascal happens price will soar with no stock :(

looking forward to RGB Fest :) :(

The more powerful the better, so I think the next package up will be better in the long run. I am building this for a nephew so will have to ask his mother for more cash, I can't see him upgrading for a long time after this though. :)

not worth to much cash- not if just for gaming, soon as next gen cards come out, generation to replace them already penned down haha . stick with a budget and keep to it

specially when you have to factor in a monitor . wanting Sync tech for best gameplay - though not everyone does- I dont - add £200 base to a monitor . If your going to ask for more cash, make sure its for the monitor , this should outlast 2/3 gen of GPUs personally

He already has a monitor for his xbox, but wants a PC now so no need to worry about that. Just needs the box. :)

will say vega 64 , gtx 1080 and future gen cards would be overpowered... guessing its a 1080p 60hz monitor ?

if he has got an xbox one x, worth looking at freesync monitor on a side note, since both it and vega/rx cards support freeysnc tech :)

Just got in touch with him about the monitor, it is 4k with freesync tech. So that is looking like the later list you made me is the right way to go.

yeah- its will be nice! the 1080ti is more powerful, and is a good card for 4k but some games it floats about 30-60 fps depending on settings and what game etc. Vega 64 will be the same but will need some settings turned down but the freesync should help smooth out the dips in framerate/gameplay - prob has that already activated in his xbox now .

3 free games as well is a nice touch - can sell them to make some cash back if needs ...

if its HDR range as well ? damn! personally wishing 1080p HDR 144Hz monitors came to the market :(

Two things
One save a few bob and get the Vega 56, its where the sweet spot is in the range and is one of the best performance/cost cards you can get from either AMD or Nvidia - assuming its returned to its normal price.
V64 is not worth it in my opinion, v56 can be undervolted, bios modded and overclocked to be far faster than stock v64 anyway.

Secondly with the money saved with the vega 56 get a sodding SSD for gods sake. You simply cannot be serious using spinning rust as a primary drive in 2018.

Dont waste your time waiting for nvidia, none of there next gen products will be cheep or worth it to begin with.

The bundles up above all come with a free SSD so that is covered, I will look into the 56 vs 64 when I finish work. :) Is it easy to to undervolt, and flash the bios on the card and does it void the warranty?
