Hmm if those outside machines have pins, what happens when someone forgets theirs?

You know it will happen.

They've got these at our local Shell garage, right next to a set of Amazon lockers.

Nothing like doing your laundry right on a garage forecourt. I do wonder though, these machines must have some sort of personal lock to stop somebody else emptying it. I remember back in Uni halls, if your clothes were left in the machine for too long, then people would just empty it onto one of the nearby chairs.

I've used them extensively over the past 9 months travelling around the continent in a campervan. At first I thought they must have some sort of pin code but, no they don't. I think the washing machine does lock for the cycle so it's safe, but the dryer doesn't. It's not really a problem because all you do is stick your washing in, then do your shopping inside the 35 mins it takes, on return stick it in the dryer and surf ocuk in the van for 30 mins.

Of course you don't need locks on things quite the same abroad as youngsters aren't the type to throw peoples washing around, and if you're taking the **** leaving your washing in a machine well after its finished then you deserve to have it emptied for you.

Get some of these machines in places where many campervans hang out and you'll make a killing, they're in constant use all day.

Here's your typical setup abroad which makes it super convenient.

You don't have to write a novel every post you do, I can read quite well thank you.

My post contained 1178 characters, not including spaces.

The usual count for characters per word is 5 to 6, so my post contained at most a little over 200 words by standard counting.

The average word length in my post was 4.6, indicating that I was using shorter (and therefore probably simpler) words than average. The total count of words in my post was 257, which is the highest possible count and includes even single letters as words (e.g. "I").

So at most there were 257 words in my post.

By generally accepted counts, a very simple children's novel aimed at children ~7 years old contains at least 15,000 words.

Picture books for toddlers learning to read would probably contain more words than my post. If that's what you consider a novel, then you can read quite well for a 3 year old. Is that really the message you wanted to convey with your post?

Humans have been using language for a very long time. It's not an onerous task for most of us.

Someone asked several questions and I gave a short answer to them. You waded in, spewing insulting nonsense at me because you were offended by the presence of more than a couple of dozen words. If you regard fewer words than a toddler's picture book as a novel (as you claimed to do) or if you have some sort of phobia about words, fine, but don't take it out on me. It's your problem, not mine.
