** AMD FRIDAY: VEGA 64 & CPU BUNDLE DEALS / DISCOUNTS & FREE STUFF **

Only the ref. ones were dual slot, as far as i know, all the custom ones are 2.5/3, and the ref. ones were stopped eons ago, so only way to get one would be 2nd hand now.
Dam, given the leaked disappointing news of the new NVIDIA GPU’s I thought I would stay with AMD and get a freesync tv next year. This is a bit of a killer as really don’t want to play silly money for a 2nd hand GPU

Thanks for the info

Not heard of this, cheers man I’ll check it out

The MSI V64 Air boost price currently is £500 in UK, so +£50 over the Devil, but yet it comes with the games bundle and custom blower heatsink (allows bigger airflow than reference cooler) that is probably what you need for the mITX case.

That is also a review of the card in it's V56 form. but you see the size of the cooler

The board is also of reference design, so there is EK waterblock for it to make it single slot if you want to, by watercooling it.

It’s a shame overclockers arnt selling it, I have heard bad things from E••••• (the only place I have seen in the UK) thanks for the info, it’s about time I move on from my r9-290

Don't want to create a new thread just to share a funny thing I noticed in my OcUK account history and since it involves the purchase of the PowerColor Red Devil so here we go.

Was just looking through my purchases in the past from OcUk and noticed the price on the first R9 290 Vapor-X that I bought from them cost me:

Then when I come up to my latest purchase, the Red Devil card:

Now, to be fair though, the 290 was with tax and the Red Devil is without, but just found it a bit funny that the cost was (almost) exactly the same while 4yrs between. :p :D

Someone in the V64 thread asked how we go about claiming the games that are currently on offer with some AMD GPU's, I thought I'd add how to this thread as it's relevant here.

How to claim the game codes.

1, I received an email with a code for the games within a few hours of ordering my GPU. The email contains the codes & a link to the AMD rewards web page where I have to register.

2, While registering I was asked for a mobile phone number which you do not have to give, I didn't give mine & after registering it told me I'd have to wait 24 hours before the account activated because I did not give them my mobile phone number, I've now waited over 24 hours.

3, 24+ hours later I use the AMD Rewards link from the original email and I'm asked to Log In which I do.

4, I now have a window they want me to put the code from the email in and a submit button which I do.

5, Now there's a large window spilt in two, The left side has the names of the 3 games in the bundle & as I pick each one the game appears on the right side with an add to cart button. I go through them adding them to the cart. Then I press the next button.

6, This takes me to a page with the 3 games showing and a confirm my selection box that I tick & then I press next.

7, I then get the following page confirming the games are being added to my new AMD Rewards account, telling me which platform the games are on & saying I'll be contacted with the game codes as the content becomes available.

Plus the 290 wasn't the flagship at that time so the 290x would likely be on the button with the Vega 64.

Most likely yeah. Can't remember what the price for the 290x was though. Just was bit surprise when I saw the prices was exactly the same (first I thought the 290 was without but after calculating it all turned out they did with tax in 2014) and teherfore thought I share it. With the 4 year gap and considering the Vega is a much better card, is would say the pricing is rather good for it, in my humble opinion that is. Although others here been saying it to much for the card.

People kind of forget that the 290x was priced at £449 launch for the reference ones and the AIB prices were even higher. I think £449 for a Custom Vega 64 is a pretty good price myself, especially with the way the market has been recently.

True. I don't remember that myself. Heck, don't even recall my 290 cost £375 at the time when I bought it then ! :o :D And yes, I thought that price was pretty good as well, considering the prices over here in Sweden, it gave me a nice saving compared with the price on same card here. :D Just got to be patient and hope DHL not having problem, the status was changed to ship earlier this morning so heres hoping it coming on Wednesday.

@Gibbo

Any idea on the game codes and who they can be sold too? If at all?

Really think AMD are missing out on a lot of potential sales if they are locking the game codes to the buyers.

As you can see:

https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/t...dyssey-strange-brigade-star-control.18827920/

Zero interest by the looks of it, even with quite a price drop.....

Well our Devil VEGA 64 sales have tripled, most likely down to price drop rather than games, plus the fact were the cheapest in the UK and in stock, so from a sales perspective its working very well. :)

Well one lost sale from moi! :D And I matter the most!!!! :p

If I could have sold the games on (without faff), even for £80, I would have caved but alas the wait for nvidia continues :(
