With Navi looking like its only going for 1080 performance at £250 range I don't think it will shake up anything
LOL something like that exactly what people have been asking for. Highend performance for £250-300.

Louder. That's the trade off.You really think a reference blower (which I assume you mean an FE) would be better for cases with not great airflow?
My case is big, but not that many fans.
I always thought reference coolers where loud.
They are sold in $USD though, much like oil and many other globally sold commodities.I don't understand this. THe cards are manufactured in Taiwan, aren't they? And the value of the NT$ against the pound has barely changed.
Since when is 1080 performance £250?
1080 are £449 - £499
VEGA 64 are £449 - £549
Am not understanding where £250 comes from?
Not just that, but NVIDIA is a US company. They are sold in $USD though, much like oil and many other globally sold commodities.
Can't see what that would achieve except confusion. The hints were quite strong. It appeared to be, but that might be a smokescreen and misdirection. Something about it still doesn't seem right to me.
Many board partners arent though. But they buy the GPUs from Nvidia in $USD and therefore to minimise risk sell their final cards in USD. It then directly ties in with the price they have paid to Nvidia and also the $ is seen as a stable currency for a global commodity, it's standard practice. Not just that, but NVIDIA is a US company.

I think he means Navi will be 1080 performance and cost around £250.

Except AMD have stated a number of times they are NOT a cut price brand anymore which has been echoed by their pricing of recent releases.LOL something like that exactly what people have been asking for. Highend performance for £250-300.
A disaster??? really??? Even though that part of AMD has been consistently profitable??
Seriously guys, this HAS to stop. Just because AMD don't have the fastest GPU out. People seem to assume the company is sinking/disaster/no hope.

You said high end. The original quote you responded to was 1080 performance. Obviously it depends how many years down the line before this card is released. And why would selling a card for £250 make you a "cut price brand"![]()

judging by the current theme of things, it will be priced at £450 and just called something different, rinse and repeat.

Exactly, 1080 performance at £250 and less power use would be a blinding lil card !!
Ha, this is far more likely xD
