Releasing a Ti now also suggests that the performance jump of the 2080 over the 1080ti isn't great.
They sold an awful lot of 1080s because regardless of the fact that everyone knew it was a cut down chip, it was also a fair bit faster than anything else on the market. This could be entirely in my head, but if a TI does come out right at launch to me says they don't have faith in the 2080.
6pm monday should be interesting - if anyone here attending the nvidia event

They have had quite some time to sort all the next gen out, so wouldn't be surprised if it is indeed a 'proper' 1080Ti successor out soon. Not long to wait to find out but my excitement is high2080 and 2080 Ti ? Seems odd they'd release the Ti model at the same time, Guess that means they'll be releasing something else new in around 6 months time if we're going to have the Ti so soon.
My guess is this "Ti" is actually a mid range card of the Turing line up and we'll get the actual 1080 Ti successor next year some time.
IF the RTX 2080 Ti is about £650 I will get it.
