Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

it might recover in 50 years don't worry. It's all happening for the great grandchildren
Lol unless science makes some good advances over the next 20 years (and not talking gpus) then the strength of the £ will be the least of our great grand children's worries....... But indigress

(Back on topic at least by that point AMD may have a GPU equivalent to the 1080ti ;) )

Remind me. You know, the ones that regularly see you talking about how expensive things are. The ones that see you claiming to be an enthusiast but then we see your sig....
Enthusiast isn't a price bracket. Don't be so ridiculous. You can complain about something being too expensive whist being able to afford them.

Before too much longer we won't be able to shrink any more. No "free" extra performance.

We might all be looking back on these times as "The good old days, when you had upgrades every three years."

How naive can you be? They don't need to compete with themselves (in the consumer space anyway) because their cards are still selling very well and they have huge market share.

Also, name a single industry that thrives without competition.
They still need to show year to year sales growth (in each department, I'm sure dedicated graphic cards sales don't make much of it).
All those who already bought Maxwell and Pascal , shouldn't they be given a reason to upgrade?

A company doesn't go anywhere without returning customers.

Being cheap doesn't exclude someone from being an enthusiast. As I said, enthusiast isn't a price bracket.

You are just as bad as you think Jigger is.

He has zero interest in this thread. He won't be buying one, all he has done is try to push the AMD notion.

Indeed! Very similar specs too! Unfortunately my strix isn't much of a clocker. 1950 is max I can get. I had to run the cpu at 5.1 and memory at 4000 to break that 25k lol

I haven't pushed the memory on the card yet so should get some more out of that I could push the CPU more also but without a delid temps are fine at 4.9 but 5.0 needs a voltage bump and knocks on 90deg with synthetic tests.

Because you seem to be obsessed with Jigger and a few other members. You do the same crap in any threads about Intel or Ryzen CPUs.

I stay away from the ryzen threads nowadays. Far too much BS gets thrown around in there.
In the Intel threads, again I'm there because I am interested. Jigger just posts non factual crap tbh. With nothing to back it up. Just winds me up lol.

You are obsessed with arguing.

Hey at least no one has said he is not welcome in this thread and havw tried to have a discussion with him rather than out right say your not welcome here so stop posting as this is an Amd thread and only pro Amd folk have an oppinion here, that is what happened to me.

Nvidia threads seem a lot more laid back lately.
