No, it was released November 2nd 2017, so about 15 months after the 1070.

That 1080 launch video was bloody irritating, some girl in the front row who seemed to be directly in line with a mic giving over the top commentary constantly.

The 1070ti released on the 2nd of November last year so just over 9 months. So well over a year after the gtx1070 which was june 2016.

If these are expensive and offer small benefit over the 1080 and ti, it may be wise to grab a used pascal card now, before the new pricing structure comes into play. Will be interesting to see what is revealed tomorrow.

Do we have any definitive ideas on the time of the reveal yet? I've seen 6/7 PM banded around but no confirmation if that is 6PM BST/7 EU time or if people are unsure if it's 6 or 7 EU time.

Just gonna be interesting to see how many 1080ti owners "upgrade" to this if the performance bump is as small as has been reported (8%). I get loving to have the new shiny toy but if those numbers are legit that's a total waste of time.

They will upgrade to the 2080Ti surely? I expect that will be at least a good 40% faster than a 1080Ti

That was for the 2080... the 2080Ti should be more... and it entirely depends what games you play. Some will be single figure % improvement, some double that. The 8% was an average. I don't think many 1080Ti owners will go for the 2080 if the 2080Ti is available.

That was for the 2080... the 2080Ti should be more... and it entirely depends what games you play. Some will be single figure % improvement, some double that. The 8% was an average. I don't think many 1080Ti owners will go for the 2080 if the 2080Ti is available.

Have you tried keeping track of this thread? 170 pages, mainly of gibberish. Last i heard from any supposedly credible leaks was it was around 8% over 1080ti.

Only because the 1080ti was not released at the same time though I would imagine.

Yes, but the 1080Ti wasn't announced or even confirmed when the 1080 came out, let alone imminently available, that's all I'm saying. If they release both these cards at around the same time as rumours have suggested, most people will opt/wait for the Ti. The mere fact they are announcing them suggests they will be released close together, if not at the same time. If pricing is in line with rumours as well, a 1080Ti to 2080 is a really bad value proposition and probably worse than a 1080Ti to 2080Ti would be... but we'll have to see what performance figures actually are first.
