Looks like Nvidia has decided the way forward is to STACK the pricing for the 2080 and 2080Ti on top of the 1000 series because AMD doesn't have anything new to offer to counter at the moment rofl.

For traditional raster rendering the performance difference won't be earth shattering a step up but it won't be like 3x the performance - for anything that uses RTX features there will be a pretty big difference in performance between them on and off.
