Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

Are we in any way looking at a really significant graphical/performance boost with these over the 10 series?

Is it even worth my time bothering as I game at 1080p with my 1070?

Stop whinging about the prices everyone, and get yer bloody orders in, as its all your fault they this high, no one elses! :)
/s or not this rings very true,

Titan XP's sold so incredibly well for nvidia they know what they can get away with.

I hear the GTX 2050 is a beast, performs like a GTX 1060 and only costs £350 at launch.

For the budget minded, the GTX 2030 is the one to look out for boys, no performance improvements to speak off but only £200 !!.

The way it's meant to be played.

After the AMD Hype train, Jensen is travelling home on the money train tonight.

Unfortunately you don't seem to understand that the Vega are actually much more expensive to make due to the use of HBM2 memory and bigger chip, and the profit margin on them are really tiny comparing to 1070/1080.

Nvidia is on the other hand kept on pushing the envelope further and further purely out of greed because they know they can.
Whilst that's true, most people don't care about the underlying technology - they care about the real-world performance they're getting for their money. I have great respect for Vega on a technical level, but it doesn't change the fact that it launched offering less performance than the competition for more money, whilst drawing a lot more power. Cards using HBM are interesting and likely the future, but AMD jumped the gun and saddled themselves with huge costs (and similarly-huge RRPs). They may be proven right on their direction in the long run, but that doesn't help in the here and now where Nvidia are running rampant.

I think people are going a bit over the top on the price it all depends on what the benchmarks say the 2070 is as fast as the 1080ti how would you feel about the price then and how do you think a person who has got a 1080ti would feel :)

So it all depends on how fast these are
The 1070 WAS as fast as the 980ti.
