So I'm going round in circles here on Amazon. I bought a WD hard drive in June which has only just come to being used but it's DOA. I'm passed the automatic 30 day returns window but it's obviously covered under warranty. I can't for the life of me find out how to contact them/request a replacement/make a warranty claim. Can anyone help?

Safe to say I've just bought a replacement for it from Overclockers :).

Just go to the contact us page and then follow the prompts to open a chat window. Had to do the same thing myself for a centrifuge yesterday.

So all I get going through any process is to contact the manufacturer. Including the link above.

I've just gone on to the WD website and registered for an RMA with the serial number and it says "NO LIMITED WARRANTY-C40". Has this seller done me over with a HDD outside of warranty?

"Buyer beware - Mine isn't eligible for warranty, I just tried to enter one's serial on WD's site for RMA and got: NO LIMITED WARRANTY-C40 which apparently means it was sold as an OEM integrator drive. "

Amazon are normally pretty good with this, was this not sold direct from Amazon?

Normally you deal directly with manufacturer AFAIK?

Like graphics cards, if they fail outside the 30 day return period you need to contact them directly and send it back to them to look at.

U BEEN DUN LAD! CALL THA POLEECE!

Managed to get through to live chat by picking a totally irrelevant issue, and got a full refund (on the whole order of two drives, which makes little sense but not complaining). I think it was on offer there back in June as I normally buy everything from OcUK even if it's a bit more expensive. Lesson learnt.

AAANNNDDD CLOSE!
