Bought a sabertooth 990fx Dec 2015. In warranty still, decided to go pop last night.
Unfortunately bought from somewhere else as OCUK didn't have stock.
The website will not take the serial number, I have tried all the stickers and numbers on the board itself. It doesn't fire up so I cant get the SN from the BIOS and the box is gone somewhere.
When you call the contact number it says "For motherboard RMA use the site, thanks and goodbye"
Great!
Go on site.
"Invalid serial"
Worst CS ever, as you can't live chat, you cannot get any assistance from them and the retailer I bought it from (used to be good until a certain telecom company purchased them) states :
2. The goods became faulty during use
Please make arrangements to return your item directly to the manufacturer. You’ll find information to help you do this in the warranty documentation that was supplied with your item, or on the relevant manufacturer’s website
I am now stuck with a dead motherboard and no way to RMA it. I will never buy another ASUS board in my life now, this is the 2nd one to go in 2 years and this is the worst CS experience I have ever had. EVGA notify, send them the card and boom a return a week later.
Are there any ASUS reps or someone here that can tell me if I am using the wrong serial - the one on the PCIE under the model name/number? I mean I've tried all the stickers on there, I have no box so can't check that, but this seems like a totally farcical procedure to me.
