Are there any available for less than £200+? This is all i seem to find.
I was only after a single speaker to mount in the middle of the ceiling in the middle of the 4 downlights.

Ive found some on amazon now for a better price, kits for like £30-50
I was going to hook it up to an amazon echo dot on the landing outside of the bathroom to use Spotify, but I’ve just found that if you attached external speakers to the dot then it doesn’t use the internal speakers for replying to commands.
So I would be giving commands to the dot in one room and then hearing the replies in the bathroom.
Not sure of the best way to do it.

Wouldn't bother cutting the holes in the ceiling to fit that junk, it will sounds terrible.

Hopefully @lucid will be around at some-point, i purchased my bathroom ceiling speaker from him and it sounds superb.

How much was that? It’s a real luxury so I didn’t want to spend a ton, if a cheap speaker sounds crap I’ll leave it

I was worried about moisture issues with one directly but that would be pretty simple. I’ve got a really strong extractor, and the Windows always open when showering but it’s not a very large bathroom.
I got sockets put into the loft pretty much above it for anything I wanted to do like this during my houses full rewire last year.

Would an up market bluetooth speaker be an alternative? That's what I do, though mine is actually a pretty cheap one for what I need.

Like a sorta battery powered movable one?

Yeah, take it wherever you want in the house, as long as you have a device which it will pair to in range. I am not sure how controllable they are in terms of issuing commands, as you mention you need, the one I have has a pause/continue function. Me, I pair it with my PC so can play music or any online radio source, or just youtube videos (its main use). I also have a means of playing back whatever my TV outputs through my PC, so can listen the TV in the bath if need be rather than banging the volume up on the TV and annoying the neighbours, since the speaker will just play whatever the PC outputs . I did think about using an AV receiver's Zone 2 ability for this and wiring in a proper speaker, but a bluetooth speaker is just much more convenient.

No issues with moisture as long as you re sensible and don’t have it near bath etc. We have ours on shelf above the toilet, it’s ideal. Low voltage too. In line extractor fan helps too. So easy if you have sockets above in the loft.

You can get led mirrors with Bluetooth speakers, similar price.

Surely any Bluetooth speaker will do though

I was thinking about ceiling speakers all over the house with speaker wire when the whole house was being rewired.
but in the end I didn't do it
regret that sometimes.

bluetooth mirrors are a good idea for bathrooms.

The Sonos Play One is humidity and moisture resistant and ideal for the bathroom. Whats more the Play One has Alexa built in. The only issues you're going to have is getting power to it. Admittedly it's not ceiling mounted, but I bet it would sound better than a ceiling mounted unit anyway, especially a cheap one!

Sonos One and Play:1 are both moisture resistant, you can get nice wall mount too.
