Best GTX 2080 card to buy?

Hey, is the founders edition a solid bet of a GTX 2080 to get or would I bet better off buying a third party one?

Well I don't know what to get without reviews.

If I were you I will wait for reviews first and it will help me to decide which RTX 2080 brand to buy.

Real shame there wont be MSI Gaming X with dual fans but with triple fans I would need a new case, it will be interesting to read RTX 2080 Founders Edition and EVGA RTX 2080 XC and XC ULTRA reviews

At these prices I would personally put it towards a deposit for a house, a nice holiday, an entirely new laptop, invest in some shares..... you get the picture.

all launch cards are the same PCB and heatsink. Just the fan/shroud will be different and the manufacturers support/factory overclock.

I get what you mean by so am looking at buying a £1,099 mobile phone instead

That's a nother insane price point.

And it always amazes me when I look around and see how many people have an high end mobile phone
even people with no job or have very little money have an high end mobile phone..

Thats because the real one is the 2080 ti anything else is just 1080 +

(just look at the ram size for example for the big clue about whats going on 8gb >8gb)

I personally really like the Asus Dual OC card, it's £715 on OcUK (with a premium Asus warranty and quick RMA turnaround) and also the same cooler as the Ti version (2.7 slot, thick bugger!). Should keep the 2080 nice and cool

That's the version I bought , the only thing that bugs me a bit is the heatsink is effectively that just abit chunk of metal , couldn't see heatpipes in any sale material I could find off the internet

If it is truly the same as the Ti version then it HAS to be well cooled, as they are gonna be HOT when all the cores+tnsor+RT's are going!! :eek:

I went for the Gigabyte Windforce model on release, but am considering switching to the ASUS dual. You have a good point though as I was noticing that as well. The Gigabyte on the other hand promotes their composite heat-pipes. What do you guys think to be the best price per performance AIB for the RTX 2080?

For me I like the look of the FE cards. So if I was buying blind without any info (as of right now) I'd probably buy the FE.

Yeah, I think it looks very good as well. I am very curious to how the vapor chamber will perform. It might even prove to be better than what I did pre-order. Decisions, decisions..

The Asus card . aslong as it does base relatively comfy won't matter or shouldn't matter what the clocks are on other cards as it is a fair dunt cheaper
