Signs that make you go Hmm..

That's brilliant lol

I'm definitely missing something here...
Those cogs are not going anywhere
To clarify, if cog one rotates clockwise it will rotate cog two and three counterclockwise, but they will be trying to rotate each other in the opposite direction (the same thing applies in reverse if cog one is going counterclockwise) so the whole thing is just locked.

Possibly ironically accurate:D

Visited Stockholm a couple of years ago. Rented a top-floor apartment in the same building as the Angolan Embassy, in Gamla Stan, and this was on the wall of our toilet. Had me chuckling for the entire visit:

And they can't spell apologise correctly?

My dad would have been apoplectic at that.

What about your new dad?

Nice try, but no cigar.

His new step dad is Spoffle. Now, instead of driving past, they have to stop and tell everyone they're wrong.

I had to Google SPOFFLE as an acronym, and my dad CBA to do stop and tell people they were wrong, he’d just point, and mutter, “Ignorant ********.”
Never had a step-dad.

Spoffle is a member of this forum. He's kind of known for getting a bit 'itchy' over spelling/grammar errors.
I was just messing around :)

No biggy Uncle Petey, I still love you, apparently SPOFFLE is also The Society for the Promotion of Fluff-Free Lucid English.

24 hour not being 24 hour

The funniest thing about this thread is the fact that you didn't see what's actually wrong with the sign that annoys you :p (check the spelling....)

I pass this one almost daily and it drives me mental:

My dad would have pulled over, poured petrol over it, and threw a match.
I can imagine them sending texts to guests, “Are you on route?”

The cogs make me feel nauseous!

Earlier today, can't remember exactly where, I saw a clothes recycling point with a sign that said "CLOTH'S".
