Starting to really notice the increased gusts here in London, but by far the most obvious sign is the aircraft flying overhead, you can really hear the pilots giving them the beans, sounds awesome.

And of course a caravan was blown off a cliff in Ireland. No I'm not making this up, I swear.

Looks to be a good'un too, winds over 100mph in certain areas.

Stay safe folks!

It's really windy up here in Glasgow, find it hard to concentrate on work it's that loud. Next door's office windows got blown in and now it's flapping continuously because the lock mechanism is broken. Also a poor tree has succumbed to the gust and is lying dead on the roadside.

We'll never make it out alive...

Rode into a solid headwind from the south this morning on the way to work, heart rate was running a good 20 bpm higher and it took me 5/10 minutes longer than my my normal journey :(

Saying that, I prefer the headwind today to the gusting swirling of yesterday morning, at any given time the wind was coming from 3 different directions which makes for "interesting" getting through Brummie rush hour.

Getting a battering up here. I've shut down all of our cranes and a piling rig we have going. Trees are dropping limbs.

There was a woman inside the caravan. She died unfortunately. RIP.

Not sure this needed its own thread, just north of London and it is *slightly* gusty :D

Saying that, some flights (SWR46V) have had to make a go around at Heathrow.

Mate of mine from up your way just posted a photo of a large tree that toppled over and crushed his brothers car while parked outside the house. Luckily it was a Corsa. ;)

I think I know where that may have been. One of our work crews was the first vehicle to be forced to stop by it!

Tomorrow could be very windy further south, and Sunday even worse when the remains of hurricane Florence reach us, currently models showing gusts of 90mph in the south
