Going to Taipei next month for a friend’s wedding, I have 1 night and 2 full days free (Wednesday night, Thursday and Friday), not a lot of time on the grand scheme of things but want to see and eat my way round the city. What is a must do and eat in the city?

So far I got

1 - Go to a night market and eat everything
2 - Beef Noodle Soup

Anything else?

@Raymond Lin

- Download the Taipei Metro App, Cheap, Inexpensive and really clean way to get around (No drinks, Food or Chewing Gum though)
- Taipei 101 Obviously.
- The smell around the Night markets is NOT the sewers, it's Stinky Tofu, plenty of decent. If you get chance, Shillin Night market is probably the biggest and the best :)
- Avoid Century Egg
- Longshan Temples for a bit of culture.
- If you like Tepenyaki with a bit of a French twist then try JYT near Banqiao. Went there in 2017, WOW is all I can say.
- Zhang Men Brewery for a swift few glasses of local IPA. Quote nice but expensive for what it is.

Enjoy, its a beautiful place

Thanks, but I've already tried stinky tofu in a past life, not my thing and I don't mind the smell…that much.

Century egg on the other hand, I love it, especially in congee!

Really ?? you love Century Egg. I was MADE to have it otherwise I would disrespect our host at the time. Actually the worst thing I have ever eaten without any exception.

Yeah…the black jelly stuff I actually don't mind, it taste alright in congee. I haven't eaten it any other way however.

Try the original and founder of bubble tea’s shop? Worth a visit to the harbour/sea for the mussels with basil. Place is called Tamsui or Damshui

As already said enjoy it’s a great place, also Shillin market really isn’t the best, most famous and best tourist trap :p

Oh yeah, i forgot about bubble tea, I guess I'll put it on the list but won't make a big effort for it as I am not it's biggest fan.
