How do I not monetise videos?

I've asked permission to use a video music track for a video I'm creating and the composer just emailed back saying that's fine, all he asks is that I don't monetise my video as it will clash with his copyright.

How do I make sure my channel isn't monetising? Under advanced, there's a section called Syndication which has two things, 'Everywhere' and Monetised platforms' and that's all greyed. Does that mean I'm not monetising or is there somewhere else in my channel I need to disable anything?

you have to monetize each video you make anyway . you upload it then it goes public. you choose to monetize it or not

are you partners ? can you monetize ?

If you have less than 1000 subs and 4000 hours of watch time you can't monetise anyway.

Oh that's good then as I've only got 111 subs. And views says 557K, but probably most of that was me, lol. I've no idea about watch time though?

I'm not partners with anyone. You're asking more questions than answering.

can you monetize videos ? if you can on youtube platform you have to select to monetize each video . you will see in the studio if its monetized or not. you cant really get it wrong.

Sorry I see what you mean now and thanks for helping. In my Creator Studio on youtube, there's a box for monetisation that is not enabled so I guess I'm good to go.
