Amazon Prime Delivery Going To Be Late? Confused.

Hey all,

I ordered a racing sim seat, gear box holder and few other separate things yesterday with the intention of it arriving today. This morning it all looks good, all got loaded out for delivery from the same depot at 9.55am.

I just got a message stating that the racing seat may be coming late, and they are trying to get it back on track, yet the other 3 items that were loaded on to the same van this morning have no such update and appear to be on track.

Is it possible that none of my stuff will arrive today then? Surely it would all arrive together, but in that scenario the seat would come too?

Slightly confused, how one item dispatched from the depot at the same time as my other 3 items has been marked as "late"

You sure they were loaded onto the exact same of amazons tens of thousands of vans? It’s quite common for them to separate delivery especially with large items that they can’t stick in the same box

Yeah I guess this could be the case, would have thought 4 items going to the same address, loaded on at the same time would have been on the same van. But yeah perhaps not
 
We can't tell you, it won't make the blindest bit of difference what we might speculate will it? All you can do is see what arrives.
 
I have had a 'Delivery will be late' after my package has arrived, in fact the message went on to apologise that the delivery would take another couple of days. You figure.
 
Possible it was scanned as loaded but then for some reason wasn't loaded.

As above I've sometimes had this pop up after my parcel has arrived LOL. The Amazon system tends to flag this if any kind of glitch happens so it might or might not mean anything.

They seem to have stopped handing out free months on Prime for the most part. Some advisors I think are still doing it if you push a bit but back along I didn't even have to ask and they'd add it.

paid for a 99p weeks prime this week but given fiver promotional credit as late deliverys the reason i ditched prime a while back ,i know last time i clicked not satisfied with response on the email and i got a ring back resulting in the credit

New CS robot software works on a traffic light system. The CS agents have no say in the matter.

Before I proceed to make things right for you, I apologies for the inconvenience caused, however, I researched the account’s detail to my best and would like to assure you that I’m going to resolve your query today, to your satisfaction.

I can certainly understand that this was not what you expected when you placed your order and I realise that you have been counting on us to deliver your order promptly and on this occasion we have fallen short.

While I cannot make this change for you personally, I have also passed your feedback along to the appropriate department. This will not happen in near future.

I've checked and can see that your parcel is currently in transit with our carrier and there has been a slight delay due to external factors.

I have now specially contacted the carrier to deliver your parcel as soon as possible at the earliest without any delay. And now I am confident that you parcel will be with you soon. Asked driver to contact you before attempting delivery.

I understand the inconvenience this situation has caused and on this occasion, I'd like to give you £5 promotional credit as a goodwill gesture, for use towards your next order.
 
Update guys, I contacted Amazon this morning about it and they gave me a £5 voucher.
It then arrived shortly after at around 11am, 3 different vans shortly after each other!

So in summary, no idea why they said the delivery was going to be late, when it came so early! And they deliver til 9pm, must have been early in the route.

I'd love to see the stats about how much credit they wind up giving to people, I've had loads from them over the last few years (althogh I do spend a lot at Amazon). Most of the orders go fine so I don't have to contact them that often.

Quite often it's their promotions that don't work properly and I wind up having to speak to Amazon about it.
