Spec me a budget £500 gaming rig

Hi guys. My brother has tasked me with building him a gaming rig with a budget of £500, which I'm kind of struggling with.
I know it's a bit of a low budget and a difficult challenge but, do as best you can please

Already have a mouse, keyboard, monitor and windows... just need the rig.

Similar result here tbh. Although I opted for the 1300X rather than the 2200G, as its got better L3 Cache and isnt an APU so you'll get full 16x on the PCI-E for the graphics card.

What's the difference between the mobos? dont really know much about AMD

Actually should have gone for the B450 as you did, its a more up to date chipset and actually a tad cheaper. Both chipsets very similar and will support the Ryzen chips specced above

Similar result here tbh.

Drop the HDD and change the GPU to a GTX 1050 Ti. 240 GB is more than enough for a few games. Or you could drop the SSD instead.

You should drop the HDD and go for the SSD and a 1050 TI. You can get a 1TB HDD at another time for cheap.

step up in GPU power and FPS but start to hit the lowest CPU you want to be using really - though lots of room to improve till 2021+ with second hand 2/3/4th gen ryzen chips

rx 570 also comes with 3 free games and think gigabyte still doing £30 steam voucher for the board...

its a solid GPU- just dont get warranty or 3 free games via AMD .

if you could go with the first one i posted, ryzen 5 1400 + gtx 970 but with 550w PSU - be a solid system! and just in budget!

Ah right... they're near identical. Ok there's defo something to think about. He might go for the RX570 along with your first build. Since I think he was getting assassins creed anyway. He might hand over the cash for an upgrade.

recommended for rx570, 580 is 500w. If you got the spare cash then forth moving to the Formula 450w model!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
