.

I have the Honor View 10 which was upgrade from my similar battery issue ridden 6P. Have had it since April. I guess the Mate 10 Pro is the better than this one. EMUI is actually fine once you get Nova Launcher as it felt just like my 6P. Has a jack and decent camera.

They're the same price here (well the Honor View 10 is £7 more expensive) and I think I can live with the idiotic lack of 3.5mm headphone port for the better camera on the Mate 10 Pro.

Edit: The Pocophone F1 is a good price here too.

Is it true that there are no dongles for the Mate 10 Pro that allow you to charge the phone and use headphones at the same time? That would really put me off to be honest as I don't want to power cycle the battery just to watch videos on flights/trains.

Missing NFC is a bit annoying with the pocophone, but i can keep an old phone for when i need that. My sticking point is going back to LCD screens after having OLED for many years.

It's currently a toss up between the pocophobe, oneplus 6, and the mate 10 pro.

My biggest concern with the mate 10 pro is how it kills background tasks to save battery.

Kree, if you can find one, the Mate 10 none pro is a stunning phone, gains a headphone jack and SD card +bigger screen with a higher res over the pro, and the speakers sound "fuller".
look at the tube vids pro v none pro.

It seems very hard to get hold of the non-pro model.

AliExpress has them but the wait and probably customs hit, CEX is where I found mine grade A and it was as new(£300) CEX will have a few for sure.(2 year warranty on all their phones as well)

I was considering a mate 10 but went with an LG g6.

The headphone socket swung it for me, but coming from a P9, previously an HTC M8 the LG has a slightly bigger battery, and the headphones and audio over headphones are absolutely rubbish compared to the HTC M8 and LG G6.

Very pleased I went with the LG now,, and it's cheaper too.

It's so difficult to choose a phone in this market. The Honor 8X can be had for £184 here (but only if I order tonight) so I'm tempted to just go for that as at that price point it will be very hard to be disappointed.

Ive been using the £279 Honor Play for the last 2 weeks and have been amazed by it for the price with its flagship Kirin 970 SoC.
Battery life, performance and build quality are all top notch and its got the lot in terms of specs except wireless charging, doubt very much I'll ever spend over this on a phone again.

There used to be a time when I wanted the latest and greatest SoC, but while I am a heavy user of my phone it's really only for web browsing, messaging and media consumption these days. It's good to hear that you are happy with the Play as the 8X should be very similar in build quality but for £100 cheaper. Out of interest is it true that these phones come with screen protectors and cases in the box?

I'm going to bite the bullet and order the 8X tonight while this offer is still on. Thanks for the help everyone.

Went through same notions and ended up with a P20 lite. I'm happy, it does what it needs to which is phone calls, WhatsApp, decent camera, email and browsing.

I think I'm well past the point of spending for top of the line stuff. I used to always get caught up in getting the latest and greatest with everything (TVs, motorcycles etc). It's quite refreshing to be getting a phone that's cheap enough that I won't mind the battery dying after 2 years.

£270 so under budget?
