What watch do you wear?

Nice, how do you find it? Any complaints or criticisms? How do I get one?

For me it has been the perfect, every day, 3 handed watch. I've had mine about 3 months now so I've had quite a bit of time with it and it really has been a pleasure to wear. Firstly, it is very comfortable on the wrist. Due to my small wrist circumference (16 ¼ cm) many modern watches don't fit me too well. The BB58 being 39mm in diameter and 47mm lug to lug fits me fine so I suspect it will for you too. Secondly, its fairly light but not light enough to feel cheap. You know its there but it doesn't get in the way. It's also fairly thin for a dive watch at 11.5mm so it'll slip under a cuff easily.

Complaints and criticisms...I can't think anything of anything major. The one thing I would probably change is to get rid of the 3rd line of text on the dial, but that is only a minor detail.

I guess if you want one you'll have to put your name down at an AD and wait or pay the premium on Chrono24 for a second hand one. You may be able to ring round some of the AD's in your area to see if they have any in stock but I get the feeling stock is quite limited at the moment.

Here's a video of it on my wrist so you can see how it fits, it shows how it sits better than a couple of photos.

Thanks for the review and video, very helpful as I'm the same wrist size.

I have spoken to 3 dealers and none of them have stock until next year, guess I'll just have to wait for now. It does seem to be a very versatile watch. I did see a couple of used examples but they are asking £3.5k. I guess they will always hold the price well even long term.

Get yourself on some lists at ADs and one will come up eventually - sure some may have a closed list, but others won't. The thing of 'we've had our allocation and you can expect a call in X years' can sometimes be true, but some ADs won't necessarily hold a watch for the person next on the list, but rather try and contact #1, and if no one picks up the phone, then contact #2, then #3 and so on. It just depends on the AD and how they manage it (although there has been talk of a centralised 'list' held by Rolex for certain Rolex models, the evidence for that seems to be anecdotal, and it also may not be for Tudors...yet!).

I spoke to my local AD and they have added me to the list, next time they have one in they will give me a call, it is already reserved but they said I can see it, then I can put down a deposit if I want one.

New addition PAM 904.

Oh damn you PAM. That looks lovely. Mechanical job? Closed back?

I still haven't got mine and with the birthday coming up, paying for family travels and kids birthdays/ christmas always trumps me, so I'll still not get my present! (Been waiting since my 30th, 2 years ago...!) She wonders why I just go out and buy stuff :D

Yep, closed, automatic 3 day reserve.

Probably been asked a million times, but let's make it a million and one:

Thinking about buying a designer watch (IWC Portofino is very tempting but it's every last penny of my budget!). Would it be better to buy one online/in a shop in Glasgow/at Schipol (Amsterdam) airport or in Japan? By better, I clearly mean cheapest.
