Yeah that’s because it’s literally the base speed it’s guaranteed to support is why, in quite a few applications you will see benefits in bumping to at least 3,200. 2,666 is pretty low given your investment in the rest of your hardware.

The best I can find for under £300 is C16 3200mhz or C15 3000mhz, which is making me think if I should return my £180 Trident 16GB 3200mhz CL14 for those.
Why you don't keep your current RAM? And if you truly need 32GB then switch.
Many have said that 16GB is good enough for 4K editing.
I am contemplating that. My only issue is that this RAM cost me £180. I can get 32GB for £260-ish.
I'm unsure of the benefit of having CL14 RAM when I game at 4k/Vr/Video edit and I don't want to have to re-open my computer and take out the cooler to re-install new RAM as it will be a big faff.
