No they didn't, 4870 was better bang for buck, 5870 was faster than anything for at least 6 months-cost £300 tremendous value, 6950's@£180 that flashed toBut that's not true - Radeons always lagged in performance - HD 3870 to 8800 GTX/Ultra, HD 4890 to GTX 280, R9 390X to GTX 980Ti, and so on and so for.
So if we choose to buy what we wan't blame AMD for consistently not giving an option much past a 70 series Nv gpu-not us!
