Isn't this basically just a new MacBook? Butterfly keyboard, minimal ports etc.

That's what I was thinking. But I guess dual core i5 is a bit crap for a "normal" Macbook

I reckon this will be over $1000 and they'll drop the price of the current 12" Macbook to be their new entry level model.

The Air was popular because of all the things they've taken away. People were bleating for an Air with a Retina display, this isn't it.
