James ‘Whitey’ Bulger killed in jail

Bulger, the mobster who many remember from being played by Johnny Depp in the film Black Mass has been killed in jail. A truly horrible individual. He was transferred to a new prison and killed shortly after.

What goes around, comes around eh? Live by the sword and all that. I suppose when you go through life like he did, you start collecting enemies like stamps. And someone will always be out to make a name for themselves.

I think this wheelchair bound 89 year old man getting brutally beaten to death is good news, because he was a criminal kingpin and an unrepentant murderer who killed at least 19 people.

I'm with him on this one tbh. I wish death upon no one but in Whitey's case I'll make an exception. This guy definitely didn't deserve to walk amongst others. How much do you know about him? His story is pretty damn interesting, if rather grim.

I dare say there are some people who will be genuinely happy with the news. Starting with whoever arranged it.

Would be ghoulishly interesting to know how planned it was. A paid murder or as simple as three guys already there who had a really long standing grudge although probably not his contemporaries seeing as he was 89 himself.

Hah, I only watched that film Black Mass for the first time the other day, I had no idea who he was before that.

To be fair, he was 89, so that ain't a bad age, yes pretty terrible way to go but... would you take that over months of slowly decaying to death with some horrible cancer?

Is the FBI guy still in jail?
