On the road....
I have a mate with one of these laptops, I’m looking to update it for him, it’s solely for M$ office and web browsing so nothing major performance wise needed.

I’m intending to put Windows 10 x64 on it and replace the hard drive with an SSD.

Reading it’s specs it supports SATA 150, will this cause any compatibility issues if I was to swap its HD with an SSD?

Thanks.

It will work and will be somewhat limited by the 150mbs limit but will still get quite the speed increase.

Most of your benefits will come from huge random read/write speed increase and low latency of ssd vs hdd.

What I thought tbh, but so long as it’s still quicker than the old mechanical jobbie that’s in it now then all good.

Thanks for the confirmation. :)
