Any eta for RTX features going live?

RTX. I cannot believe people bought these things without actual games to utilise them. Surely nobody buys anything without proof it's of any use considering the astronomical price of the cards. Madness, pure madness and I've no sympathy for those who have got one, one on order or who are about to buy one.

To be honest I don't care about RTX or DLSS, what I do care about is the 2080 Ti is about 30% faster than a Pascal Titan but costs about the same.

There is also the bonus that unlike the Titan V you can run a pair of 2080 Ti cards in mGPU using NVLink.

I bought a G80 (8800GTX) which main advertisement was "DX10 support for Crysis" with Nvidia showing some wild numbers of performance.
A year later when Crysis actually came out, 8800GTX performance was abysmal, and the next round of GPUs were cheaper and faster. And the cards came out after Crysis were even more cheap and faster.
And it wasn't only the 8800GTX but also the 8800GTS640 and 8800GTS320. And both were completely crap on DX10 Crysis. Yet all 3 were advertise like the epitome of performance on DX10 and Crysis....

I had buried the head in the sand back then, using exactly the same comments many RTX owners do today on your post.

I am going to bench Crysis 3 for you on my 2080 Ti cards at stock to see how things have moved on.:)

The original Crysis would be the one to bench and i'm sure it would bring up some entertaining numbers.

Not really as you get bottlenecked by the CPU.

Having said that I have had it running up to 200fps @2160p on other setups.

Cheers for taking the time to do that for us Kaap.

On a more serous note, how are you licking them so far?

My tongue is a bit sore but I really like the cards.

Even with the fans flat out they don't make a lot of noise.

I see people kind of defending thier purchases of RTX cards for raw performance for fps over say the 1080ti. I understand that. Ray racing "just work's" as Nvidia put it for the new RTX range. Show me how and give me games so these you tubers can tell us what we are getting so I can make a informed decision. Nothing is here and it's all a case of wait t and see still . Its a joke and buying a RTX card makes no sense currently and the prices, well nobody can defend that. I love pc gaming but c'mon the whole range of well ..... everything pc related that's actually excellent at what it does is now out of the everymans (reasonable pricing) reach tbh.

Wasn't the new Tomb Raider meant to have RTX support on day one? Then they said it would be coming with a future patch, utter shambles.

BFV does seem to have the rtx features in it, if you bring the console down and enter a command it'll say cpu gpu ram usage etc but it also says rtx. Can't recall the command offhand will have to check it.

There is also an option on the config files. Both do nothing.
