Long story short;
I bought a fully rebuilt cylinder head from a seller on eBay. It had been rebuilt professionally from his local engine builders. He couldn't find the invoice for the work carried out, but also sent the old parts to prove they had been done.
Within 1/2 mile on road test it snapped a valve, bent it, and damaged the piston. This was due to the valve spring being incorrectly fitted.
I'm now out of pocket of £150 for additional parts to repair it.
Should I open a case with PayPal/eBay? The engine shop isn't replying to me, and he's now wiped his hands with it and not helping anymore.
I want to open a case to compensate my losses, but he was only the seller after all. Unless of cause he actually built it himself?? His last reply said he couldn't get an invoice, and won't help any further.
Any thoughts?
