My psu isn’t that old it’s a super flower 1300 watt .
I think if the PSU didnt resolve it then you have a card that has a chip that cant keep up with the OC. I had a 1080 Strix OC with similar issues that crashed out of games and benchmarks on the OC setting so i sent it back to OCUK. My 1080ti Strix OC doesnt miss a beat on the OC setting and above.
Sometimes you just get unlucky i think. Make sure you follow all advice OCUK ask you to try on a support ticket (if you bought it from them of course) and if its still happening they will ask you to RMA it im sure. You should be able to use this card at stock settings minimal and in no way should need to downclock.

My psu would be multi rail .
You using separate power cables then yeah?
Thats not good then pal. You PSU is a beast so cant see how that would be the issue unless its got a fault. RMA the card back to overclockers and let them test it for you. If they cant replicate the fault then it might worth ordering a new power supply.
Im using latest drivers. Well mine only seems ok if nothing is overclocked, so will update tomorrow when my new PSU comes.
I obviously want my CPU clocked to 4.6ghz as it was before and I would like to be able to OC the GPU too, if I fit the new PSU and it crashes then I will have to get in touch with OCUk.
I already sent them a web ticket. I got a reply this morning asking if my BIOS is up to date, and to try a fresh OS install. No suggestion that my current 650w PSU is not up to scratch, like I said my 980ti and CPU under load/gaming was pulling 350-400w. If I knew where the plug in meter was I would try it now, I cant imagine the 2080ti is pulling that much more power though?
I am going to reinstall with DDU now then try a conservative OC eg. just raising power limits.

I installed 3 set of drivers today and used
They are talking about serial number for faulty card s.
i installed 3 sets of driver s today and used ddu to no avail no I’ve posted on there CS forum asking for a rma so have to wait Ona response now not happy at all I’ve had the card since Friday and can’t believe this is happing . Reading on nvidias site many other ppl are having problems with there cards to and they have the micron ram asus and other makers have Samsung and Hynix ram.

Posted in the main thread but will post here just so if any searches it will makes their life easier.
So, 1000w Seasonic PSU installed out of case to test. Put power sliders/temp to max and put a +80 core OC. Played 1 hour of the latest Tomb Raider, held clocks of between 1995 and 2045 ish was mostly over 2000 the whole time, not sure it will be able to go much higher unless I can get the thing cooler. Got very toasty was at 80ish 82 highest 75 on the easy to render parts I assume.
60fps locked did not see a single dip.
Looking like this has solved my problem, I will OC the CPU again tomorrow to confirm it has but before I could not even manage to just increase power limit without a crash.
I will be trying to get as much air over the card as possible, the backplate must be scolding hot.

Glad its sorted, I knew it would be your PSU. Regarding temps I would set a custom fan curve 40 degrees = 40% fan, 60 - 60% and so on. The standard fan curve on the 1080ti lets the card get into the 80's as well. Don't worry about the back plate getting hot though, that's what its for.
